Versatile Bollywood actress and producer, Anushka Sharma now has a clothing line of her own under the label, Nush, one of her nicknames. The brand in collaboration with Mumbai based Suditi Industries focuses on fuss-free styling with easy-breezy cuts, bright colours and basic sportswear. “I have personally taken interest in the styles of Nush, so there’s a bit of myself in all the outfits,” says Sharma.
However, even before the clothes could hit the racks, a controversy has risen of the designs being copied from a Chinese Website. Two bomber jackets, a trench coat, a parka and a pair of striped monochrome pants are especially mentioned in a report in “Mumbai Mirror.”
To this, Anushka Sharma and Pawan Agarwal, CMD of Suditi Industries have said that those designs would be discarded from the range and a strict action would be taken against their Chinese vendor for the same. It has come to their notice that their designs are being sold elsewhere on a Chinese website leading to a massive breach of trust. They have also stated that some designs are merely similar because of the current trends in the market and are not copied.
However, the collection will be available at Shoppers Stop, Jabong and Myntra from October,12. So let’s see if this controversy is really going to be controversial or will be adding to the marketing of “Nush”.
