Realizing that students who wanted to study design remained confused as to exactly which design course they should go for, Sumit Saurabh started Desizn Circle. At first he taught six students, so that they could clear the entrance exams of the respective colleges that they had chosen and guess what, they all cleared the exams. This had happened when Sumit was himself in NIFT 4th year. Eight years has passed from that point and today, he is a proud teacher, mentor and guide of 1100+ students who have reached NIFT, NID, PEARL, SRISHTI, SYMBIOSIS and many foreign universities.
Desizn Circle was established with the vision of imparting quality guidance to focused students in the most refined teaching environment. As a centre for training and precise learning, Desizn Circle offers both continual and abridged programs that help the students in pursuing their aspirations. It offers customized courses for students who wish to pursue design as a career option and the best part is that the courses are designed to give an immense exposure in the various departments of the design industry.
The USP of the Institute is that the faculty gives individual attention to the students and they are able to take feedback everyday, after the class directly from Department Heads. They also conduct Weekly Mock Tests and perform detailed performance analysis & discussions.
One of the biggest hurdles Sumit had to face initially was to find a good teaching staff. He told Flairtales, “It took years to filter the best. Along with proficiency in the subject, we looked for punctuality and discipline in an individual. It took time, but now we have the best faculty members.”
Desizn Circle now plans to hold “Desizn Conclave” – exhibitions, fashion-shows, showcasing the talent of young designers. Apart from this, they want to create more awareness about the scope in this field.
The proud Founder and Creative Head of DC, Sumit gets immense satisfaction when his students get amazing ranks in various design entrance examinations and he feels all the more amazing when he sees them turn into adept designers.
He says that be it a Retail chain or a service provider, quality of the product or a service should be the top priority of each entrepreneur. He also believes that one should also focus on customer satisfaction and the after sales services. He gives the following advice to all young entrepreneurs- “You all must be very honest and dedicated. Be a good leader and take your team members along. And, don’t forget the business plan!”
