Tattoos today act as one of the most influential cultural ambassador across the globe. India is home to the most diverse tattooing traditions of the world but unfortunately it is almost unrepresented and is dying a slow and quite undeserving death.

Mo Naga, a design graduate from NIFT, is working for the promotion and revival of the forgotten art of India Tattooing. A tattoo artist himself, he is a Researcher of Indian Traditional Tattoos. He has started up Headhunters’Ink in Nagaland and Godna Gram-The Tattoo Village in New Delhi.

“Our society is getting tattooed with various foreign designs while having no concern for the lost of our own art and identity. I believe that there should be a balance of exchange of culture.

The rich tattoo traditions and art culture of India and the last old people who still wears our traditional tattoo inspired me to start this journey to spread awareness and promotion of Indian traditional tattoos,” says Mo.
