Celebrities definitely bring on their A-game on the red carpet of the biggest night of cinema, the Academy Awards. The Oscars is primarily a celebration of the magnificence of the entertainment industry but fashion has always been an important facet of the gala.

Along with the stunning outfits, jewelry is also a big part of the glamorous looks stars sport and the biggest international jewelry brands let the celebs borrow and flaunt their designs worth millions of dollars and more.

While big names like Chopard, Lorraine Scwartz, Harry Winston and Bvlgari are frequently spotted on our favorite Hollywood A-listers, one Indian brand managed to leave a mark.

However, due to the involvement in the recent PNB swindle scam, the question has been raised whether any of the celebrities would make a controversial decision to opt for a Nirav Modi creation this year.

2017 Oscars was a milestone for Nirav Modi; not one but a number of stars chose to appear on the red carpet wearing his creations at the mega gala as well as the after-party.

Karlie Kloss, Taraji P. Hensen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were among the many stars who chose to wear Nirav Modi jewelry to the 89th Academy Awards or the after-party.

Supermodel Karlie Kloss’s stunning Stella Mccartney dress was gracefully complemented by a Roger Vivier Clutch and Jewelry from the house of NiravModi. The intricate Mughal-inspired choker paired with En-Tremblant Earrings also from Modi’s collection created a perfect ensemble for the natural show-stopper that Kloss is.

Taraji P. Henson made heads turn and left everyone awestruck when she appeared on the red carpet in a gorgeous sensuous velvet gown from Alberta Ferretti. The diva kept her look classy and aesthetic by adding a luminance necklace with 103-carat worth of diamonds and an emerald ring by Nirav Modi to her getup.

Not only at the main event, Nirav Modi pieces were spotted on many celebrities at the prestigious Vanity Fair Oscar’s After-party as well.

Brand ambassador English model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wowed everyone at the event by pairing statement intricate diamond danglers from Nirav Modi’s celestial collection with her striking silver gown.

Blonde beauty supermodel Kate Upton attended the coveted after-party wearing a Thakoon silver sequin slip dress accessorized with a classic embrace white bangle and statement diamond danglers from the brand’s Celestial Collection.

The earrings, designed with pear-shaped diamonds set within cut diamond holes, are a Nirav Modi signature.

Actress Olivia Munn also attended the party wearing a bright red gown complemented by a pair of simple sophisticated diamond earrings from Nirav Modi’s Luminance Collection. Supermodel Stella Maxwell chose to opt for the elegant Nirav Modi cascade danglers with her embellished slip dress.

Coincidentally, actress Kate Winslet chose the same earrings for her look for the 88th Academy Awards.  During the 2016 Oscars, the Best Supporting Actress nominee left everyone gaping with her off-shoulder Ralph Lauren gown, paired with a diamond bracelet and earrings from Nirav Modi’s collections.

She sported more than 100 carats of diamonds when she wore the Luminance Cascade danglers and bracelet, accompanied by a large statement ring from the Celestial collection and made sure that she stood out from the crowd.

So what does the future hold for the jeweler of the stars? Only time will tell. After the financial scandal, the founder of the brand has caused, the luxury jewelry label will definitely face the circumstances.

Most of his clientele belongs to the higher echelons of the society-royalty, celebs, film stars, politicians, industrialists; they are naturally supposed to be cautious about bad press. Due to the pressures of public scrutiny, they will opt to distance themselves from the brand and the person behind it.

His primary clientele will try to steer clear of any sorts of controversy, that’s for sure. The brand image has already taken a hit-we can assume that there will be worse repercussions for the brand.
